Vine Bracelet

I wanted to have a simple bracelet design so I started playing around with some thread. This is what it ended up being.

I call it my Vine Bracelet and it's my own design though probably very similar to some simple edgings or things others might have done. I just tatted, wasn't looking at any pictures or diagrams. I took notes of what I did so I could make more in other colors if people like this one.

I think it looks like a vine runing back and forth so I call this my Vine Bracelet. This particular one was done in Vineyard Harvest Lizbeth thread so its name is Harvest Vine Bracelet.

Update: I've found a very similar design on free-tatting.com however the knot counts are different from the ones I used. Plus that one has picots that this one does not. I was not aware of that pattern's existance when I created this without a pattern.

Lost and Found

I was looking at my etsy listings and saw some that needed better pictures, a couple of which were tatted bookmarks. So I went into my storage box where I put my completed tatted bookmarks, etc and pulled out the items that needed new photo sessions. When doing this I came across a tatted bracelet that I'd made but somehow had over looked and never put up in a listing. Duh....wonder what else I will find in that box!

So I took a couple of pictures and quickly listed my Ocean Blues Tatted Bracelet. I don't remember if this is someone else's design or not, if it is I will give credit when I find out.

This bracelet has white beads down the center and pale blue beads along the edges. It's made with a toggle clasp.

Holiday Bracelet Set

For the last few days I've been working on a special order from one of my customers.  She wanted a Holiday Bracelet and Earring Set in Red, White and Green.  The request included that the earrings be 2 inches long and the bracelet 2 inches wide in this particular tatting design.  I ordered in the thread and worked it up and here's the results.

Motif # C3-2:

It came out better than I originally thought it would.  I think the color spacing on the thread worked up nicely and the way the earrings turned out they can be used with either ear wires or posts.  I'm very happy with how this set turned out and I think my customer will be also.

Beautiful Beads

A while back I took part in an event where I ended up finding some beautiful beads that I just couldn't resist.  I wasn't sure what to do with them but I liked them so much I just had to get them.  I decided to turn them into a tatted bracelet with tatted rings between each bead.

Motif # C2-11

I think this simple design works well with these beautiful beads.  What do you think?

This bracelet is currently available in my Peachtree Cottage Etsy shop - http://peachtreecottage.etsy.com/

In The Beginning...

Hi...My Name is Mary.

I'm in the process of creating this blog so I have a place where I can focus on my tatting.  I've been putting my tatting on my other blog (Peachtree Cottage), but it doesn't always seem to 'feel right' mixed in with my miniature artist bears.  I think having a seperate blog for each will help me keep things more organized.

Speaking of organized.  Please pardon the current mess here while I get this blog set  up and organized so it's functional.  Thanks.

I plan to share plenty of pictures here so to start us off, here are some examples of my tatting:
