The sounds and scents of the holidays will soon be upon us. I love the scents of holiday cooking and wanted to make a pendant about spices. This is my Holiday Spice Tatted Pendant, made using Lizbeth threads and inspired by a 1916 edging.
Available in my etsy shop ( https://www.etsy.com/listing/113406106/holiday-spice-tatted-pendant-free or on my website ( http://www.PeachtreeCottage.com )
I already have another idea using these same colors...so watch this space for another 'spice' item to be posted soon.

Vineyard Elegance
I recently saw several tatters working with 'doodads' and wanted to give it a try. Joelle Paulson had a lovely pattern for one, so I ordered some doodads. When they arrived I took my shuttles (which had Lizbeth's Vineyard Harvest already on it from making my Vine Bracelet) and starting tatting away. The result is the Vineyard Elegance Set.
I did the full pattern for the pendant and did a shortened version for the earrings. I think the set is lovely and noticed it will really coordinate well with my Harvest Vine Bracelet too!

Some Pumpkin Fun
Just for fun I made up a quick earring and pendant set of pumpkins. They are only about 1 inch big (small?) but cute and were really quick and easy to make.

Pink Marble 2
The way I won the Handy Hands free threads was by naming one of their new thread colors. The name I suggested was used ... Pink Marble. The thread is a very pretty pink and rose with gray which reminded me of pink marble with gray veins running through it.
I decided to make a couple of things with it. First I made a bookmark which I posted about on June 6th, 2012. This time I made a pendant and matching earrings.

Playing With Threads
I just had to play some more with some of my new Lizbeth Threads. This one is "Scottish Thistle". I love the softness of the colors and think it worked up wonderfully as a pendant/earring set!

Also as a little surprise for a friend of mine, I've worked up another Tissue Box Cover. She said her house was mainly 'beach' type colors, so I tried to make the colors go with that in mind. I'm rather pleased with how well it turned out.
This is not available for sale but if anyone wants a similar one or one in different colors, just contact me. I'll be happy to make one up for you!

I'm Back !
I know it's been a while since I've posted anything. Mainly that's because I was unable to make things due to a bad wrist injury. It's taken 5 months so far to heal and it still bothers me at moments on a daily basis. However the wrist is about 90% healed and I'm able to work again, at a slower pace, but at least I'm able to create :-)
I also was one of the lucky winners of Handy Hands contests for their new threads. They selected the name I suggested for their new color Pink Marble, and they also liked the 'marble' idea so much they also called the purple version Purple Marble. They wonderfully gave me 2 sets of winning, which means I was able to select ** 50 ** balls of thread. I got all the new colors and all the ones I've been wanting to get and a few others as well, in all the sizes I wanted. Needless to say I'm in Thread Heaven right now !!
Of course I had to give these new threads a try, but because of the wrist couldn't work on them too long. So I took Kirsti's Stumpy design and with a bit of finagaling made a pendant and matching pair of earrings with the new Green Coral Sea thread.

I hope to have more things made soon. I'm currently working on a couple of baby sweaters and have a new baby afghan design I want to try. I also have a thread crochet bunny in the works from before the injury that I'm hoping to finish up soon.

I liked the way it worked up, however the colors were brighter than I thought. I had thought they had a more muted, washed out tone. It did work up beautifully though.

A New Pendant
I made this pendant based upon the Flower Medallion design at Be-Stitched. I decided to make the center part pink and lavender to make it seem more like a 5 petal flower, then edged it with black to give it more of a victorian or goth look. I like how it came out but I'm thinking it would look even better with a more vibrant color center. I'll have to try it again and see.

By adding a jump ring and putting it on a chain I turned this pretty design into a pendant which is now available in my Peachtree Cottage Etsy Shop - http://www.etsy.com/listing/83879322/flower-medalion-pendant-tatted-lace-with

Pretty Pastel Pendant
Pastels of pink, blue, green, yellow and lavender matched with a solid lavender make for what I think is a very pretty pendant. I know I saw this design somewhere and tried to replicate it, however I've searched all my files and searched the internet and can't find where I discovered it so I can't say who created the design. If someone knows please let me know so I can update this post with the designer information.
